Pennsylvania, 19107
(877) 878-3629

AUPHA’s 2018 Annual Meeting will be held at the elegant Loews Philadelphia Hotel June 13th-15th. Opened in 2000, the Hotel was the former Philadelphia Savings Fund Society (PSFS), the first savings bank in the United States.  The building is considered one of the most significant buildings of the 20th century and the second skyscraper to have central air-conditioning.  The building was built in the midst of the Great Depression at an estimated cost of $8 million and was opened in stages between 1932 and 1933.  The $8 million cost was an enormous amount during the depression, and nearly impossible to afford today.
