AUPHA is pleased to offer a site visit of the University of Florida's Center for Advanced Medical Learning and Simulation (CAMLS). CAMLS is one of the world’s largest, free-standing simulation facilities exclusively dedicated to training healthcare professionals. It provides simulation experiences for educating students; training healthcare faculty in simulation education; and preparing healthcare professionals to acquire, maintain, and enhance their clinical practice to meet today’s workforce needs and improve patient care around the globe.
Conveniently located only a few blocks away from the Annual Meeting's location, the tour will start with welcomes and introduction by Yasuharu (Haru) Okuda, MD, FACEP, FSSH, Executive Director & CEO, USF Health CAMLS, and be followed by a tour of the 90,000-square-foot, three-story facility. This will include state-of-the-art, high-fidelity clinical environments, with roughly 60,000 square feet dedicated to surgical skills labs, operating trauma suites, and patient exam rooms, plus more than 25,000 square feet of meeting and conference space.
COST: $20 per person, limited to 40 individuals
