This poster presents an exercise designed to challenge the belief that data is boring and shift that belief into the excitement that data empowers the decision-maker with a compelling story. Statistical analysis and data visualization are introduced using Excel and a medical practice dataset. The exercise, however, is not only about the number crunching but also about developing insight into what the numbers are and are not telling us.
