The aim of this scenario is to equip students with fundamental knowledge of big data analytics and data mining, this, in turn, will strengthen their critical thinking skills and align it with the type of information provided to make informed strategic decisions. Students in groups will use multiple sources of large datasets, develop questions, mine the data for an answer, and translate the answer into a decision-making strategy to improve a hospital’s performance.
